Basic rules

19. The ball has to be served from behind the table. From the flat hand
– single game: there is no need to be served diagonally.

20. Service: in case of services, the ball must hit their own playing half before it hits the half of the opponent. If the ball touches the net, and still hits the opponent half correct, the service must be done again. In the case of a service that doesn’t hit the opponent half correct, a point is awarded to the opponent. During the game it’s allowed to touch the net with the ball.

21. At service turn the ball is required to tossed up at least 16 cm.

22. At the end of each game, players switch half.

23. Those who earlier served as the first game, now will first receive.

24. Teams must consist of one male and one female player, forming a mixed doubles team. Both players should meet the basic eligibility requirements of the event. This rule ensures that all teams are mixed-gender and are treated equally in the competition.

25. Serving order: Each team has one serve per turn, and the serve must alternate between players within the team. This means the first server serves, and then the partner serves next. The serving order must be strictly followed, and after every two serves, the serving team will switch. The ball must be served diagonally, from the right side of one player’s half to the left side of the opponent's half.

26. Receiving order: The receiving team must decide which player will receive the serve. The player receiving the serve must receive the ball from the diagonal side (as required for doubles). Players must alternate in receiving the ball, meaning the player who receives the first service of the game (or match) will not serve again until the opponent has served.

27. Player position: After the ball is served, the players of the receiving team must return the ball. Players on both teams must alternate striking the ball, meaning that no player on the same team can strike the ball consecutively.

28. Ball direction: The ball must land alternately on each player's side, which means, in doubles, players cannot hit the ball on their own side. They must hit it to the opponent's side.
